So glad I moved out of NOLA. I love the city, but they make it so hard for people with jobs and families to live there.

It's New Orleans. Aren't the poors already nice-neighborhood adjacent?

Historically, yes, but gentrification has been shifting the balance the right way the last several years. I guess Mitch is not a fan of healthy real estate markets.

This results from an Obama appointee dominated HUD. There is absolutely zero legal authority for HUD to be able to do this. Hillary will keep this program intact.

Administrative law at work.

How about Chicago?
Chicago and all of the big cities in the Midwest/North are far more segregated than the south.

They want to make it so that you have nowhere to run (unless you're a millionaire).
And they want to import more people for you to run from.

And their candidate is HRC.

It's the same bullshite Obama and the hud director Castro want. frick that shite. All it'll do is ruin nice middle class neighborhoods and bring the schools down. They want to get more leeches in the burbs and away from the cities.

As soon as I see a metro bus stop anywhere near my neighborhood, it means it's a sign to gtfo

What's the point of working hard to be able to afford to live in a nice area if the government is just going to make the poors your next door neighbor?

This insures him more votes in the future. Some people really need to wake up and realize voting has consequences.

How many Section 8 housing vouchers are passed out in Landrieu's neighborhood?

The housing plan also includes the much-discussed rental registry, which would open up rentals citywide to inspections. As many as 2,350 rental units in the city lack working bathrooms; more than 7,000 contained signs of rodents, according to statistics provided to the City Council earlier this year.

City taxes will undoubtedly increase.

HUD should be disbanded on the federal level

This. But people think only the ultra lib SJW crowd pushes this. White conservatives take advantage of these funding, taxing, and zoning mechanisms to get their friends good contracts, land deals, realtor commissions, etc. in fact before Kip Holden Baton Rouge was full of corrupt good ol boy politicians cashing in on the ruining of neighborhoods.

Garrett Graves was instrumental in getting that "water campus" and his family win some contracts related to it and his brother in law is designated as the realtor even though he lives in Ohio. You better believe we will frick HUD up no matter who is elected.

lol, Chicago is stratified as hell. Even more so than Atlanta. It isn't racially based, but if you don't have money, you sure as shite ain't getting into the neighborhood.

It's also a lot more expensive to even live in the nice. Eighborhoods so that scares people off too. Now there are homeless people but whatever.

How do they decide who gets high rent vouchers and who gets low rent vouchers?

This is the kind of shite that happens when calling someone a racist is so easy.

I wonder how much money people are going to lose out now because their property value is going to take a fricking nosedive.

But, yeah. This is a brilliant plan. People better start moving to the woods.

A key element of the plan is a commitment to spread out the number of people using Section 8 housing vouchers in areas currently clustered around the city
