Understood this is mainly obamas doing, but this jack hole is jumping up and down like the dem arse kisser he is.
So he should oppose it to satisfy you so that he can be labeled a racist and we can get one step closer to another ray nagin? Thanks, but I'd rather him support it if he can't do anything to stop it. #logic

Well generally the mayor answers to the voters, so yea I would like him to stop it.
Your parallel to ray nagin makes no sense, like most of your post.

Wait, people with low incomes have problems with housing? Unconscionable!

Let's see him move some of these people to his neighborhood first

This is money driven.
Somebody is going to buy up forclosed properties in middle class neighborhoods and an elected official somewhere will decide which homes are eligible for the vouchers.
Of course campaign contributions will be involved at some point.

Nobody gives a shite about New Orleans and New Orleans problems besides the homers.
Yalls dump of a city, y'all deal with it.

I think he could fight it but then would forfeit HUD $$$. No idea how much that is, but frankly what good is money when the Section 8 cancer is ravaging the city?
But anyway, not enough politicians fight HUD. And so it goes on.

Oh, and frick Landrieu!
Yea, I'm not worried about this shite happening where I live, Calhoun and Constance. If he tries to pull a fast one and put projects in the fly, I'll be pissed.

I was seriously looking at houses in Lakeview. But I think Jefferson Parish might be the way to go.

you'll be fine in lakeview and most nicer areas uptown. way too much influence in those areas that will not stand up for this shite

Which faceless/nameless bureaucrats will these folks run to?

in the 70118 the only place he can pull something like this off is in or around the Fly. I don't see that happening.
Lots of money and a bunch of old school lawyers and judges live uptown. They will not let this shite happen. Now Broadmore and fountainblu, they may get screwed over by this.
Property taxes are already insane uptown and lakeview, you telling me the govt is going to cover that too. I think not. We pay 14k a year just where we live.

And when the property values across the city decrease substantially, and the property tax revenues decrease so that New Orleans can't maintain its budget, Mitch Landrieu will be the first f*cking MORON to start crying like a little pu$$y and complain about racism from his all-white neighborhood.

GFY Hayne is a family name for me.

There are plenty of brand mixed income housing developments in the city where they will be able to use their vouchers. Their isn't enough rental units in the nicer areas that are section 8.

frick Mitch Landrieu.
He's a worse mayor than Ray Nagin, which seemed impossible 6 years ago.
