I'd love to do something like this, or hike the entire Appalachian Trail, etc

Hefty challenge once he makes it down to the deep water and swift currents competing with barge and large ship traffic.

Not impossible but very dangerous.

There used to be a ‘street view’ some guys did down most of the duration of the MS River on Google Maps. Not sure why it isn’t there anymore.

I have been to Cape Girardeau.

Wish I could say I haven't.

There is a lot of barge traffic on the Upper Mississippi and the current by the St. Louis Arch is six knots. He will be okay as long as he keeps it close to shore.

25 years ago I. October after 9/11 my buddies and I were camping at the old river control structure. A Kayaker came to our came and had supper with us. He was a teacher from Minnesota and has started at the headwaters.

That is pretty cool.
