Agree, all the same characters have naturally transitioned to this after the Karmelo L. Even to the point that they are openly rooting for it to be declared a murder. Very bizarre.

This is 100% what’s happening. The difference is, if we find out these boys did kill him (we know they didn’t but for arguments sake), “yt people” would not be standing behind them. We’d be crucifying them.
It’s horrible what happened and I was sick about it but to see everyone immediately blaming these boys is maddening. And yes they retained counsel immediately because a) they were being blamed duh and b) they were breaking laws clearly by drinking and driving boats so there could be some negligence charges just because of that.

I keep seeing these shared Facebook posts from deranged folks on that "side" that they won't be bringing themselves or their kids around ytpipo anymore.
Well, I have one thing to say in response:

There is an extenuating circumstance in this case that is quite unique.
The boat they arrived in had a leak and they were 6 miles from the mainland.
Under normal circumstances, maybe they would have stuck around longer to make sure he was in good hands, but they did not have the luxury of time.
It was like, leave now or you're on your own. He decided to not leave.
If this is what happened, I do agree that is very different and I would say they acted very reasonable.
And maybe, just maybe, he didn't want to get in a boat with a leak to ride all the way back to the mainland, and thought he could catch another.

Happened all the time, we just told the group be at the hotel at this time the morning we were leaving to go back home. We were all big boys and sometimes went off on our own adventures. Hell we even had a friend get picked up for DUI and the guys that rode down with him hopped in the back of my truck for the ride from PCB to Louisiana.

This. The online hysteria is laughable. Even funnier is "watch your kids and who they're friends with" - great! Maybe your son won't hang out with thugs who brandish a weapon when they feel disrespected.

Since you brought Kamelo, maybe this kid crossed someone's boundaries like Kamelo's defenders claimed Austin did. Or can only black people have boundaries?
ETA ... I don't think anyone murder this kid, I'm just highlighting black hypocrisy dependent on scenario.

Those comments are insane. They look to be good friends with each other.

How come none of my friends had a MILF judge like her when I was a college kid?

And it is also completely obvious that the black community as a whole appears to be fricking nuts.
Or very stupid..
And if this incident doesn't make you do what you can to avoid them, then you are not paying attention.

I only questioned if his friends were truly his real friends. This isnt an indictment on them at all. I would say it's very common amongst young people. They are friends moreso due to proximity. Ie they live in the same neighborhood, rode the same bus, play football together, etc. But when it comes to genuinely caring for each other and having each other's best interest at heart, that's not the case.
dude will you stfu? This thread has been annoyingly hard to sift through because of your bullshite.

Looks like this will end up being another L for the folks who want nothing more than to punish wypipo. Maybe next time.

Mostly a lurker here, but want to jump in and say that I’ve found QJenk to be a solid poster over the years. I hate to see so many reflexively pile on with the downvotes…I think he’s a good person and has earned the right to be heard, even if you don’t completely agree with him.

Well for my part I've felt that he and I have had a reasonable dialogue respectful we disagree but we're not tossing out condemnations

I heard some other reports that Warren or Wyatt, not Wells' mom, reported Nolan missing that night when he didn't show up for a party later that evening. Others are saying that this foursome was actually part of a larger friend group of eleven that were all travelling together in separate boats, lending some clarity on why Nolan felt comfortable staying back and why the others allowed him to do that. Apparently witnesses have corroborated seeing and hearing the group asking Nolan to leave and him stating his intent to stay back. The girl Katie's relative who posted yesterday seemed to back this up, although Katie assumed the boys didn't leave after all and Nolan was still going to return with them. Apparently Katie was dropped off on the island and was going to be picked up by her parents, but ultimately went home with other friends or family members.
Another post I saw alleges another witness (Levon Williams?) claimed to have been told by Nolan that he was going for a swim near a part of the island where riptides are a known risk. Horn island has had a handful of drownings over the years due to this. Not sure if that's legit though.

RJ Haddy is some "true crime" guy who keeps popping up on my FB algo and he's pushing the limits on getting sued.
Earlier today he posted some video with this commentary:
The video is a place that clearly isn't Horn Island.
And Mulders will believe these people over actual facts

A newly surfaced video from the Fourth of July celebrations is raising serious new questions about Nolan Wells’s final hours.
The disturbing clip, reportedly filmed near the water, appears to show a tense confrontation involving an aggressive man shortly before Nolan vanished.
Who was he? What triggered the argument? And could this leaked footage reveal a key detail investigators and the public have been missing?
