Yeah, there aren’t even fist fights in these satellite camps. There was a really interesting video I watched with a former CIA agent who had an 18 month sentence for comprising classified information around 2010. The judge and the prosecution agreed on the spot to recommend him to a camp. He was sentenced to the real prison next to the camp. However it was still a low security prison. He thought it was an intentional decision by the Bureau of Prisons.
In the Low Security he said there weren’t a lot of fights but they would happen on occasion. Either people trying to show how tough they were would get challenged or child molesters and snitches would get beaten.
There were still prison gangs in the Low and he was on okay terms with the Aryans but eventually he hung out more with the Italians, which he appreciated since they were more educated. Said there were no sexual assaults but some guys were hospitalized from fights.
Anyways he said the guards would taunt him that he got placed in a real prison rather than a camp where nothing happens. This also makes sense as the “craziest” guy in a camp is probably a non violent drug dealer with 8-10 years of good conduct in a low.

My buddy you met who did some fed time in Arkansas jokes about this myth.
The closest thing he saw to rape was a good barber in their wing was allowed to cut other prisoners' hair. But on the downlow, he would demand you let him suck you off if he gave you a good cut. Otherwise, you could get the crappy free haircut by the prison barber.

The photo by NYCAuburn is actually the medium security FCI. The camp is tiny (just over 100 inmates) and may be that small building at the bottom. That would be easy time normally. Some federal prison camps aren’t so friendly, like FPC Atlanta, where drugs and violence are quite common.
Most fed prisons have some or all of these: tennis courts; softball fields; football fields; soccer fields; handball courts; volleyball courts; basketball courts; racquetball courts; bocce ball, some indoor and some outdoor.

This, if you ever saw "Orange is the New Black" they were in a Camp. Unlike the last season or OZ or other shows where they are in GP.

There aren’t as many fights and rapes in the low security stuff because everyone there is on good behavior and working to get out. If you fight someone that all changes.
They probably also have conjugal visits in the low security.
