And basically those folks with braces these days teeth are so crooked that the invisalign doesn't even work

My understanding is that Invisalign only works on teeth that are basically already OK IMO. Almost any crowding removes it from consideration

I got Invisalign at age 59. Genetics. My grandmother had overcrowding with one tooth pushed completely behind her other teeth. It didn't happen until her fifties. I got the same thing that started on me and had it corrected. Took almost three years.

That's because their bad teeth were acceptable in the UK, but the teeth won't be acceptable in any US state except for possibly WV.

Oh no!

UptownJoeBrown thinks the schtick Scruffy had been doing for 12 years prior to the date he joined the site is lame!

Whatever will he do?!

After all 5 of us boomer kids got braces...... my mom got some in her 60s.

IIRC, they were done by our orthodontist's son which was kind of cool.

Not all of us have Forrest Gump level winning.

Maybe learn to use the braces for the good of humanity.

Teeth begin to move and over crowd in the front of your mouth as you age. Beside looking bad, it can be uncomfortable and more difficult to keep clean. Most don’t go through the trouble of braces and do live with the discomfort.

Another avenue of waste at that point but cool.

My parents could not buy braces for me. So I had crooked teeth.

In my 30s, I paid for my own. It wasn't a "thing." It was a need that I supplied for myself.

Mine went the other way

Started with a "classic" English, bad teeth look. The progressed to Letterman / Hutton level gap. Now I can fit an acorn in there. Thinking of putting in a fake tooth with a gold cap so I can use "axed" with authority.
