Middle aged people with braces

I keep seeing more and more middle aged people with braces. What’s driving this? Are dentists recommending this now?

In this age group, braces are used not necessarily for esthetics but to address TMJ issues.

Also, braces are used to address orthodontic relapse caused from not wearing retainers.

Another issue braces are used in this age group is to align the teeth to facilitate cleaning in patients that are battling perio disease.

I once worked with a bunch of folks who came here from the UK. They immediately got a bunch of dental work and/or braces.

A friend of mine got braces when she was 63. It really do be like that sometimes.

I wanted to get my teeth fixed since my mom couldn't afford it back in the day. I had to have my underbite (Go Dawgs) fixed with surgery too. It's something I always wanted to fix so I did. No ragerts
