heavy equipment noise from construction, not the actual data center.

This reminds me of installing home AV in Shreveport. Retards bought 300k houses (1M+ today) two miles from Barksdale and complaining about the noise from the bomb carrier of freedom.

So the plant that powers elons data center… power plants are loud but it’s not like you would live next door. Find it hard to believe it’s that loud.

Fake AF, the power plant is a normal combined cycle gas powered one. It's next to Valero refinery, xAI and Nucor Steel.

Try harder

Ignoring all the other potential problems with AI, why is this different than when they build an airport as far as noise?

Airport. Railroad tracks. Highway.
Frogs. Bugs. Concert venues. Race tracks. Construction sites.

Or you could pay extra money for rivers, streams, oceanfront sounds nearby.

Humans have evolved over 100,000s of years. I think we can find a way to continue on despite the 1st world struggles.

They can sleep in the hood with all their pit bulls barking nonstop so I doubt this bothers them. They just want a payout.

Elon said he would put them in outer space but everyone bitched about that too.

Yeah its to bad the locals are not embracing or at least trying to capitalize on the situation. I know a lot of south Louisiana people who are, by working up there. Life changing money in most cases.

put them by landfills, solar farms and prisons.

Great idea but house the convicts INSIDE of a data center! I bet it would be a perfect deterrent against future returns!

Power plants have been around for over 100 years and you’re not going to hear it from over a mile away.

This is a bunch of Dims complaining because they heard someone complain about data centers.

I wonder what the dBs are inside the houses?

Surprised the center is that close to suburbia

This is misleading af. She measured the sound, one mile away, at 65 db. The people that she interviewed that were the complainers live in Southaven MS. That is over 10 miles from the plant. It is almost 13 miles from Exxon-BR to Denham Springs.
