Wish someone would tell the cicadas here that they are supposed to be quieter than 40 dB.

Sounds not much different than a rushing river or a waterfall nearby. The beeping would get annoying though.

It’s interesting to see the rest of the country getting a taste of industrial noise pollution. We grew up near a rail yard and it was noise constantly. But it never stopped us from sleeping. Trust that. We were too tired from working all day.

That’s heavy equipment noise from construction, not the actual data center. Surely you aren’t this dumb?

They are literally working 24/7 at this site to build and retrofit the existing power plant to run the Data centers that are currently being built. They are Hiring 2000 more workers this month, so better get used to it…

The point I’m making is it’s not data center noise, it’s construction noise. That will end once center is built.

The AI DC going in in st Francisville is isolated in the farther southwest corner of the parish near the river, near paper mill, Hood container, etc. It's an industrial area with almost no houses on the road.

Space X already disclosed the noise is coming from 60 gas powered turbines at the site.

The new mega large data centers are often built in more rural areas but I've seen data centers in New Jersey and Virginia that were built right along side of neighborhoods.

Turbines for what? They’re running off the electrical grid bonehead.

Temporary turbines until it’s fully built out to run off the grid
