what are you talking about?

I'm just stating that "That's a fact" is not true because of the circumstances that you have just agreed on.
I said it was a fact that Gasser could not just open fire at McKnight for getting out of the car and walking towards him. That alone is not justification.

At a certain point this just becomes Newell being a complete prick.

This entire line of conversation started when someone suggested Gasser could shoot McKnight if he was scared when McKnight got out of the car. That isn't nearly enough to hit the criteria for a justifiable homicide.
I agree. Because at that point he could just drive off and flee. But let me ask you this, what if he was boxed in and couldn't flee? And the words spoken by McKnight before they stopped at the red light were, "I'm going to get out of my car and kill you!!" I know I would be scared the second he got out of his vehicle at that point. Justifiable? Or does he have to wait until he is IN the vehicle?

Am i missing sonething, has somethig came out that would justify the shooting. From everything I have read, it looks like murder straight up. But now the guy is being released. What gives?

He's talking about the people at the presser.

What kind of animal would down-vote my post, I am simply asking for respect!
No wonder people lose their minds when this kind of shite happens, it seems that there is no respect.

Hopefully we're about to find out...

What gives is we have no idea.
And if we have learned anything, the initial media reports and eye witness testimony are unreliable at best and intentionally calculated to heighten racial tensions at worst.

I am watching the live feed and there is a lot of laughing in the background. If you are going to stream a live feed, then be respectful.

The key word is reasonable and imminent.
I disagree. The key words are "reasonably believes".
If you can't distinguish the difference between being in imminent danger, and "reasonably believing" you are imminent danger, I don't know what to tell you.

Again, you conveniently ignore the entire point of the law that YOU quoted as being the law of the land. Whether you want to admit it or not, the ONLY thing that matters is whether or not you had a "reasonable" belief that you were in fear of imminent danger and loss of life. You have no idea what that criteria is. None. It's impossible to know what a 12 man jury will decide is reasonable.
Can you at least admit that when you stated it all comes down to whether or not he was in imminent danger, that's not correct?

Incident started on the Greater New Orleans Bridge. Jesus.

Words alone or not enough. None of us were there to see exactly what happens, but saying I'm going to walk over and kill you is not enough to justify a shooting. If he was saying that while waving a gun, then maybe, but not just words.

It matters that it is both reasonable and imminent. That is what the jury is going to decide. They'll decide if there was a reasonable fear for his life, AND if that fear was imminent.
