They should fire every one of those idiots and use it to buy as many self checkout/ordering machines as possible.

A) Get's rid of these assholes
B) Better service for customers
C) Saves McDonald's money

win..win..win

These comments on this thread are awesome. I see a lot of the idiots from the echo chamber Chiming in. "Black people working fast food want raise! Stupid Childeren on Obama. MAGA is gonna fix this shite!"

If McDonald's gives raises to their employees this does not effect any of you what so ever. Honestly, a lot of you sounds jealous. What kinda jobs do You all have?

Went to one in Tulsa. I had to pull forward because my order wasn't ready. When they came out with my food, they gave me a free meal voucher and apologized profusely. It was very refreshing.

More like, lazy fricks want a raise. Work hard and your employer will reward you. What ever happened to that notion?

One I was referencing is in Berryville, AR. But most all of them are similar. Clean, nice kids and adults. Varying ethnic groups, save one.

I use to deliver to Wendys. One time I was in a store and an AA "woman" about 24-25 was looking at the schedule. She told the manager she couldn't work more than 24 hours a week. The manager asked her why not? She said "if I make to many hours I'm going to get my benefits cut". The manager shook here head and walked away.

Yeah because McDonald's will give raises and every other restaurant worker in this country will be just be fine at $8/hr.

Then what next? Nurses go on strike because a dude that refuses to clean the fricking shake machine makes as much as them?

I've seen now hiring at Popeyes, Taco Bell, Winn Dixie, CVs, Walgreens, circle K, Sears, dicks, Walmart, just in the past month.

They don't want to work. Every where you go is hiring.

It's a common misconception that just anyone can walk into a place like the ones above and get a job

Like "hey that guy is homeless, he can go go work at McDonald's!"

The consumer and places like Chik Fila are finally putting pressure on businesses to take a hard look at their customer service and image. So any place worth there salt isn't going out and hiring any schlub, in theory

How do you attract a better employee at McDonald's or Popeyes? Pay em more? Gives them more responsibility and if they don't perform, you get rid of them until you find someone who will at that price. How else do you change the landscape of crappy fast food and minimum wage workers?

If these places had employees that actual gave even the slightest frick about customer service, I'd empathize with them. But we've all seen their attitudes towards customers. They don't care, so they get what they deserve...nothing.

The best way to get $15 per hour to do a job is to show you can do it for less to the tee

You get paid more people want more but they at least want to know you'll actually do the job. And anyone who has been to a McDonald's or fast food joint in Orleans parish knows they're not very good at their job now, so why would anyone pay them more to motivate them

Is there a difference between a prostitute and an elected official?

Other than maybe the amount you pay to get fricked, I mean.

While they're on strike I bet the franchise owner and a couple of his or her kids can go in there and have that place running smoothly within 10 minutes or so.

There are certain jobs that are stepping stones to better places in life, not destinations.

How do they attract employees who give a frick?

The competent people who give a frick are out waiting tables or driving trucks or whatever else for a better wage

The fast food worker is the bottom of the barrel of the workforce for a reason. So I'm fine with them getting a low wage, but most of the time you can't get a low wage employee AND great service

So would you rather

A - have low wage fast food workers and take their attitudes as a consequence of a low wage, disgruntled employee

B - pay them more and get a better service and product

People are gonna bitch about bad service and they will bitch if they get raises So what's the solution?

The solution is to pay them what they're worth.

If they prove themselves, they get higher wages than the deadbeat. If they're good at their McD's job, pay them appropriately. If they're shitty, pay them what they're worth. It doesn't take long for word to get around that places pay well if you put in a modicum of effort.

most cops, firemen and paramedics make less than 15/hr

you sure?

40 hour work week at 52 weeks a year at $15/hour comes out to just over $31K, pre-tax. I'm not hip on what most professions make but I would surely think police, fire, and paramedics are making more than 30 grand.
