Don't they realize that in itself will cause the market to raise wages.
No, no they do not.

.if Taco Bell, Canes, Wendys, Burger King, etc are paying their employees $15/hour then MCD should as well
Uh and why is this? What is your logic?

$15/hr
There are line cooks with actual skills at actual restaurants that don't make $15/hr. These folks are fricking nuts. This is in BR/NO right? Not some high cost of living place like Manhattan or Seattle?

McDonald's might be able to top grade their sorry employees out if they go to $15. Might actually be a good idea. Might get some quality people applying then.

I would go work at Micky D's for $15 a hour

I remember when I worked at a gym briefly after my illness took everything except the clothes on my back . I I was in charge of account setup and maintinence, maintaining equipment, customer service, inventory, process improvement, etc. And I made 7 .50 a fricking hour. It sucked and I found something else as soon as possible. Because I realize these jobs serve an important stop-gap that should lead to other things. There is no way people should be staying in these jobs for an extended period.
How about instead of paying them more, have some fricking program that will give some sort of guiandce for self improvement or something

I bet if the guy invested a lot of money in sending them to school or job training schools, they'd reject it immediately
nah man, want dat fidteen dollas
there aren't jobs going around, and their job is hard even if it requires no skill so I feel bad, but getting paid more to flip burgers and turn the milkshake and ice cream machines off 6 hours before closing isn't the answer.

the mcdonalds on st Charles was always straight with me
they'd tell me they broke it down and cleaned it so they can leave on time...then i'd point out that it was 1 in the afternoon and they'd be dicks to me

$15 seems way high as a wage but not as a negotiating position. If you were making $8 and wanted $11 it would be reasonable to ask for &15.

what destroys their leverage is anyone can replace them.
I used to go to that mcdonalds when I lived on plum and south Carrolton.
anyone reading this...go there on Saturday night close to midnight...I wonder if they still have their big get together to show off their modified vehicles and blast rap music and look scary

Is McDonald's the only place hiring in Louisiana? Is the fast food industry the only industry? Why can't these losers go do something else? Oh racial oppression and discrimination. Forgot.
Posted on 11/29/16 at 3:09 pm to DelU249
ok, so next time the ice cream or shake machine is down, everyone who goes to this mcdonalds be sure to offer them $15 to turn it back on and fill your order
we'll see if they really want $15/per half hour

I believe we all can safely assume that this type of protest would not take place at a Chic-fil-A.
Why? Because Chic-fil-A would never hire these type of people.

$15 won't be enough in about a year's time. They think McD's should be a career option.
That pay raise isn't going to improve service either. They'll get their $15 and continue to be shitty workers. Gimme, gimme, gimme.

place hiring in Louisiana
no jobs in NOLA. though the low income housing racket is extremely profitable if you have the capital and don't mind filing eviction paperwork on a regular basis

I assume it's a pain in the arse to clean according to policy every night so they cheat it by a couple of hours to leave on time, then it's a few hours, then it's 6, then they just stop turning it on
KFC on south Carrolton has bullet proof drive thru windows
I shite you not...the closer you move to mid city on Carrolton the more and more frightening things start to look.

Those automated machines will never takeoff because i only go to these places for the rude employees at the cash registers. I mean what would happen if this was taken away
80% of the population would sit at an automated machines for minutes on end trying to figure out how to use. Has anyone ever sat behind a person trying to figure out a Coca Cola freestyle machine? The majority of fast food patrons are the same low income trash that works at these places. A fast food place won't go automated until they are sure they can turnover customers at the same rate of speed as humans
