When I don't have to go through a drive thru wondering if I'll even be helped or I don't have to go back around because something is forgotten or messed up, then I'll be in favor of giving them more. However, I don't see that day happening anytime soon.

Completely agree, my gf is the manager of a McDonald's and I can't tell you the last time her entire crew showed up for their shifts. She's always shorthanded and stressed because these dopes call out for anything and then bitch about their paychecks.

they'd get very proficient with them, and quickly. I do agree with your larger point. self check in at the airport, automated box office at movie theaters. self checkout at heb, lowes, home depot.

You wanna have your mind blown? Go to a McDonald's anywheres that's not in SELA... I went to one in destin last year that was worked by college students and the place was immaculate... everything was yes sir, no sir, etc....
Had a rude bitch a Burger King the other day shake my bag of food at me while I was making room for my drink and say 'hea' at me twice... wasn't the first time she's done that shite either

I've seen now hiring at Popeyes, Taco Bell, Winn Dixie, CVs, Walgreens, circle K, Sears, dicks, Walmart, just in the past month.

I sometimes stop at this one to get coffee in the morning. McDonald's sucks at everything but I enjoy their coffee. I feel like I always get a very warm and welcoming greeting from the older ladies who work the Drive thru window.

I saw a woman punch her child at a wal mart, and that was the last straw for NOLA. everyone saw it, no one thought it was unusual or strange or worthy of repudiation. I called the cops but the store wouldn't hold the woman nor did the cops care to check the video...they gave me shite for wasting their time and I wasted 2 hours of my life

Completely agree man. A few months ago, I was heading home from Mississippi late at night and starving, pulled over to a McDonald's and waited 5-6 minutes for any kind of help. Nothing and all I got was a random employee peeking their head out to see if I was still there or not.

Retired from Baton Rouge to NW Arkansas. I knew of what you speak. Truly amazing how much different McDonalds is up here. "May I help you sir?", "Let me get that for you", "5.89 out of $7; your change sir...$5.89, $5.90, $6.00 and $7.00" "Thank you sir, have a nice day".
Not a single filthy looking SOB in the place. All clean, neat and polite.

I still think it was a factor as to why Buccee's backed out. I think they knew it would undoubtedly be their worst branch in the whole company. It's also why LA will never have anything like a QT gas station.
