Stopped at Mickey D's on Florida Blvd last night to get a cone and they said the "Ice Cream Machine is broken." Drove down to Sonic on 16 and it worked just fine. It does seem like they don't ever work at McD's!

My kids keep getting certificates for free ice cream at school. None of the McDonald's up here have ice cream machines that are working either.

Why would it be more difficult at Sonics than McDonald's? Would be easier seems to me.
for some reason mentally handicapped youth love McDonald's, anyone know what's up with that? Used to do some work with Special Olympics in BR and those folks love them some McDonald's.

Actually for a lot of them in BR, the biggest problem is the workers don't actually clean them, McDs has to hire a 3rd party to have them done properly and on the correct intervals.

i worked at mcdonalds 3 years in high school
the machine has a bunch of fricking parts and has to be broken down every day and cleaned. sometimes if you dont' know what you are doing and you put it together wrong, it won't work.
80% of the ice cream machine issues come from someone at work finding out the person who broke ti down the previous night didn't put it back together right
the other 20% come from you coming to mcdonalds at 9pm thinking you are going to get some ice cream and they already broke it down so they can actually get off work at 11 instead of 12:30

I agree the McDonald’s or gehtto McDonald’s on Highland and Airline has to be one of the worst McDonald’s in town. Their ice cream machine never works and their food quality horrible.
I do not understand when I worked at McDonald’s in the 1970’s we cleaned the machines daily and the machines rarely broke. Back then you put cream in the rear of the machine every so often and it made ice cream. Pretty simple machine back then.

Screw McDonald’s anyway. Their prices have gone nuts for what you are getting.
Wife and I hit one Friday night and I hadn’t been there in a while.
I ordered a Big Mac meal and she ordered a QP meal.
shite was $18 and change.
I couldn’t believe it.
Add to that the QP is now the size of midget fist.

Yeah, screw them.
Every town has plenty of Mom and Pop’s that serve up an amazing burger for less than McDonalds now.
Also, our McDonalds is a stone throw away from an amazing Mexican joint that a couple can get out of for $30.
They are crazy.
That $1 Spicy McChicken is legit, though. That’s the only credit I’ll give them.

They aren't broke. Go to any Mcds in da parish and they work.
