Helicopter patrol continues this morning but instead of around Lisbon like they were last night it’s Monmouth which is about 10 miles north

It happens in all the other events like this.
I don't buy the conspiracy theories and think this one feels sort of different because they ha ent been able to apprehend the perp. But there are graphic videos of the carnage of these types of incidents all the time. I haven't searched them out on this one so whoever said there aren't videos from people who were present could be lying, but they're out there with these things nearly every time.

PLEASE take this w/ a ton of grains of salt, but speculation up here is that they caught Card, but there was a second shooter last night who is still on the loose. There’s a BOLO in the area and in NH for a blue Tahoe.
The person that told me is a regular at one of the places I work, she’s good friends w/ some firemen.
Press conference soon, so hopefully they shed some light on what’s going on up here.
ETA: I understand that my post will probably be wrong, accept the downvotes, I was just passing along what people are talking about up here presently and to point out how worried everyone is.

I’m not sure how to handle or solve these kinds of problems, but once someone with mental health issues says they’re going to kill people, someone should figure out how to get control of them.
The so-called "Red Flag Laws" are in place in some states to stop these sorts of situations. Guns are confiscated from those reported to show serious mental issues.
They definitely impinge a bit on the 2nd amendment so a lot of 2A purists are against these laws. On the other hand, these laws aren't passed just for shits and grins...there's good reason to keep weapons out of these peoples' hands.
Maine does not have Red Flag laws in place.

Saying he is a firearms instructor means nothing to me. He could be a guy handing out rounds at the range for yearly qual for all we know. The media will definitely play it up though.

The outdoorsmen I know aren't exactly type to turn on their TV or check their phones for the local news before they head out to the stand.

Not to mention, firearms instructors aren't like some special forces badass. They know how to handle a weapon and how to teach...not exactly some prestigious position.

When I said "these types of event" I was referring to mass shootings or some other weapon to kill as many people as possible, but you know that.
Here's some off the top of my head where tons of footage from the event was released either in real time by the perp or news/law enforcement immediately following the incidents: Buffalo, Christchurch NZ, Charlottesville, Ft Hood, Orlando, Nashville, Uvalde, Nice France, the van attack in Spain (Barcelona maybe?) ...those are the ones I can name from memory. I'm positive there are more.

There were videos of the dead people at the Allen, TX mall shooting on twitter before the shooter had been killed by LE.
