The UK and Australia have HUGE problems with homemade bomb attacks
It's a lot easier for some random to pick up a gun in a moment of anger, or during a mental health episode and kill a lot of people than it is for them to plan out a bombing, gather the needed materials, and actually carry out their attack. A lot of time to think about things and back out, a lot more opportunity to be noticed and stopped. Killing someone with a gun is often no more than an emotional decision, it takes no effort. Your argument is disingenuous.
