Probably. But it's a very worthy topic, in my view, when society/media/academia/government goes along for the delusional ride, even going so far as to tell people with said delusions that their delusions are real, they're at risk of being erased, etc.

I would love if it were researched and reported what kinds of psychotropic medications and cross sex hormones (in trans cases) these obviously disturbed mass shooters are on. And how well their treatment was actually monitored.

It's human nature. People trying to make sense of the world around them. It's why it happens in every such incident from any political slant/ideology/religion/etc.
It's why when something awful happens in the ghetto, we emphasize that it's culture, because it implicitly means the risk of that awful thing is not on our doorstep but instead confined to the high-risk neighborhood/community/etc. where it occurred.
