It doesn't seem surprising at all that changing a woman's gender to a man would create someone with mental health problems. The body wasn't originally made to tolerate male hormones.

This is not necessarily directed at you. But does anyone here actually believe that his only delusion was he was trans? I don’t expect anyone to answer this.
He very likely suffered from even more serious demons and delusions (not to the discount the seriousness of a trans delusion), such as delusions of paranoia and persecution. Those are potentially much more serious and dangerous delusions.
That’s really all I am saying.

That’s for sure. There’s a great deal of research that supports the role of genetics and biology in the ability to have empathy. He likely met criteria for APD, as well as a mood disorder and psychosis, mainly in the form of several delusions.

My take is that it's probably true. For the same reason that plenty of Islamic terrorists are probably people who suffer from mental illness too. There is certainly a long history of using the inept, the troubled, etc. for radicalization and especially suicide bombings/attacks.
That doesn't excuse the ideological component, rather, it shows how those militant ideologies can be used to corrupt the vulnerable into committing atrocities.
