like how does that work... they cut check to city? seems like never going to happen
If the feds cut a check to the city those businesses are fricked. Because they won't see a dime of it.

Nola people voted her in. They deserve it

I think it takes someone strong with a plan followed by one or two mayors who are willing to be servants and follow through on the plan.

I tried listening to your link but it was just awful. Especially the female host constantly interrupting with bad jokes.

The problem is Mark is way too white for Tha Destroya to care.
Posted on 9/22/20 at 1:41 pm to boxcarbarney
I believe every word of this. I've heard horror stories from private meetings with LaDestroya. Really sad that someone so incompetent bordering on malicious is running (ruining) this city.

She serves the Democrat party, not the people of New Orleans.
Socialists always claim to represent the common people, but will eventually tighten their grip on power, starve their constituency, and blame it on a war with a government with different political leanings.
It doesn’t matter if it’s NOLA, Cuba, or North Korea. In the end the people suffer, their rulers get drunk with power, and the US government is to blame.

It is rather amazing that none of these candid conversations are ever recorded
Meh
You know what would be amazing? If the mayor acted like she wasn't in charge of a banana republic. If she would do real interviews with WWL Radio and the local tv stations and laid out her plan and reasons for her actions.
But mostly all she does is do interviews on some lowly little radio station with an ex con for a host from what I understand.

've been trying to explain this to people for the last 5 months. All liberal governors & mayors are being told by the Dem overlords to do everything they can to keep their states & cities SHUT DOWN until the election in hopes to hurt Trump. The plan is to get Sleepy Joe elected as he has promised behind the scenes to give Blue states & cities a MASSIVE FEDERAL BAILOUT. Read his conversation with her & she pretty much admits this.
Exactly. She straight up says it’s the result of the Fed government and it’s up to them to make it right. So, pay the local government which will NEVER in turn give that money to the local businesses to even attempt to be made whole.
This is scary. I’ve never been the type to think ‘the government is out to get us’, but the Government is out get us.
‘Mother should I trust the government”
-Roger Waters (The Wall)
No Roger, you shouldn’t trust the government. Neither should we. They’re destroying us intentionally. Listen to OAC, calling for radicalization and that ‘we’re never going back to brunch’. In other words, we’re never going to back to how Sundays were in 2019. Our old lives are done. THAT was THEN, THIS is NOW.
The patriot business owner that committed suicide is the canary in the mine for us, red blooded, hard working, independent Americans. We won’t all commit suicide, but many more are going to die before this is over. Our world has forever changed.
All while Liberals are cheering it on. Intelligent people that have become delusional. Don’t come back to this saying liberals aren’t intelligent because they’re not all urban government leeches. Some are book smart intelligent, just have become with delusional in how they use that intelligence. I know a guy that is a double major of Physics amd Math and worked in the Navy of nuclear fission projects. He’s not a dumbass by any stretch but he’s unashamedly and insanely politically liberal.

Even if Biden wins.
Dems likely don't get Senate.
Even if they do.
People in Arizona, Montana, etc places where Dems need wins to control Senate.
People in such states won't go for bailouts of hardcore liberal bastions.
No way she gets a "bailout".

Except even if you live in JP you still spend a large amount of time in Orleans presumably.

This is dead on correct and we aren't just talking about a COVID related bailout. They want a bailout for decades of mismanagement and will use COVID as the reason. Unfunded state pensions etc.

NOLA does have a decent footprint in the history of the actual Banana Republics. An exiled Honduran president resided in NOLA, Sam the Banana Man, and whatnot.
Maybe she's just a fan of history?

This makes me sick to my stomach for all the great, hard working people of New Orleans and Louisiana. I can’t imagine being responsible for people losing everything they’ve worked hard to attain. Absolutely disgusting.
