The best part about that whole ordeal was how they had the road completely finished, then s&wb had them dig the whole fricking thing back up to re run new pipes. It didn’t cross anyone’s mind to do it both at the same time

Probably a lot more to do with 50-80% increase in property taxes Uptown than S&WB fees—those are a headache, no doubt, but you can always fight and win over billing and change fees.

When I was a banker in New Orleans, there was at least one day a week where I would spend all day on the phone with the S&WB.

Some elderly person would come into the bank and ask for help understanding their bill.

I'd tell them to leave the bill with me and I'll call them once I had it straightened out. It was a huge pain in the arse.
