Legendary "Star Wars" actor and prominent Hollywood liberal Mark Hamill is in hot water on Twitter for having recently liked a tweet posted by J.K. Rowling. The "Harry Potter" author has, for years, been facing the wrath of cancel culture due to tweets repeatedly saying that biological sex is not a social construct.

Now, Hamill, the 71-year-old actor who plays Luke Skywalker in the "Star Wars" series, found himself the target of an internet firestorm for merely liking a cheeky comment from Rowling on Twitter.

Willoughby, who was born a biological male, wrote, "I’m more of a woman than J.K. Rowling ever will be." Rowling, who is a biological woman, quote tweeted Willoughby’s post and commented, "Citation needed": a snarky suggestion that there is no evidence behind Willoughby’s claims.

Let me guess, 1 person on Twitter with 23 followers is trying to cancel Hamill and this became a “story.”

We live in the dumbest time in American history. Seething hordes of barely literate buffoons attempting to legislate reality from their phones between bouts of scrolling TikTok.

He should have been canceled for agreeing to that horrendous Last Jedi script.

I love that Rowling has drawn a line in the sand with this bs regarding what she believes is a woman. She’s right on all counts.

So what I’m gathering from this exchange is…

Someone is allowed to hurl an insult at a non-LGBTQ person, but if that non-LGBTQ person counters that insult they are in the wrong?

And liking that counter will get someone “canceled?”

So effectively, “I can insult you, but you better not dare insult me back!”

What a world we live in.
