From my understanding a lot of the issue is that pain killers USED to be way overly-available and in recent years there's been a huge movement to cut back on prescriptions. Basically flooding the masses with awesome pills and then cutting off the pipeline. Enter: heroin epidemic.

In those types of countries, they either have 100% respect for the laws, or zero respect. There's no middle ground.
I was born here but both of my parents are Nicaraguan. Weed is the devil but they both used to drink A LOT. Sadly, you are right about respect for the law.

So what about polls BEFORE legalization that showed use amongst teens? Would you believe those? I mean, this is what we were lead to believe that teen use would skyrocket if it were legalized.

That's kind of my point. That is an important story to tell, but instead they try to push something without evidence. The article would be much better and hard hitting if they just told the story instead of bending things.

The only "gateway" aspect of weed is the gateway of the drug dealer that sells more than just weed

News flash. Death from prescription drugs is up everywhere legal pot or not. All of you that will try to use anything to try to discredit legal pot are living in the past. It's here and it's not going away. No matter how much bullshite you try to spread.

Definitely. Sounds alot like the draconian production laws in LA. Getting caught growing ANY amount of marijuana plants in LA results in a mandatory minimum 5 year prison sentence.
Any amount of cocaine is a felony in the free state of Louisiana.
Growing pot is not automatic prison sentence. It's 5-30 years but can, and often is, suspended in favor of probation. Still draconian and bullshite though.
