So this is a real thing? This is actual food? I thought it was just a punchline when people joked about Chinese food.

To honor this culinary genius, I will only order my version of his creation, General Tso's Shrimp, from now on when I'm not craving Mongolian Beef.

Why do people care so much on what's "authentic" and what's not?

Good is good. If food tastes good who gives a shite where it's from or who invented it? I never understood this

You're either 7 years old, or a try-hard.

Possibly both.

Exactly. Pizza isn't exactly "authentic Italian" (nor is anything with noodles, for that matter), but it's still pretty good and popular, so who gives a shite?

I've had authentic Italian style pizza in Italy and it was one of the best things I've ever had. What we get from most pizza places in the U.S. Is crap.

Italian style is a super thin, soft crust, with very little sauce, fresh cheeses, and olive oil. The toppings are generally really good deli meats and olives or just tomatoes. NY Style is the closest American approximation, but still isn't as thin or as good (it's far from bad, though).

I will admit that Chicago Deep Dish is an awesome adaptation, but most pizza from chain pizza places is a disgusting bastardization of an incredible dish.

Sliced roma tomatoes are an awesome topping. Mellow Mushroom turned me on to them, and I get them every time at Lit Pizza. Lit's my favorite pizza right now.

learning about authentic cuisine.

Gotta love people educating us. Newsflash to them, we don't give a shite if it's "authentic". We prefer "mf'ing delicious". Just like I don't give a shite if a titty is real or fake.

And yet, it's still super-popular.

BTW, Dominoes is not the only pizza available in the USA. We have "authentic" places as well.

Most of your post is just your opinion. Personally, I enjoy New York style the best, and yes, Marco fricking Polo, I've traveled as well.

Have another downvote. Gen Tso's chicken is tGOAT Chinese dish and its unAmerican to think otherwise.
