In the documentary, Peng poo poos all the photographs of American versions of General Tso Chicken, but then they whip up Peng's version and it looks damn near the same as GTS' in the photographs.

At any quality, the dish is pretty gross if it's not freshly made. After just an hour or so, it starts to get spongy.
I wish someone in Lafayette did Peking Duck. I really miss that stuff from when I lived in DC.

And, for the record, OML, it was invented (and fried) by a Chinese man exiled in Taiwan. There's nothing American about it except that every restaurant has adopted it.
