In what universe does someone running away from a cop constitute justification to shoot them?

I’m sure you can find several dozen videos where a perp is running away from a cop then either turns to pint a weapon or simply points it behind them as they’re running. I don’t understand how people still look at this as a simple scenario after the amount of body cam footage that has been released over the last decade.

Ambulance paramedics should have pulled rank and told that officer you can take a walk around the block if you are feeling some type of way about what you did, but we need to tend to this man who is in critical condition first

It is actually scary how many women are in the police forces and military now.. like 1 in 100 of them are actually built for that type of job. It’s kinda like how you always see a woman as a referee in most sports game, they don’t belong there but equality says they should be there for representation!

Agree. Why call an ambulance for a criminal at all.

Should have just let him bleed out in the street

I understand your thinking, but most first responders treat first responders first.
Puzzling that a police officer would melt down to that point, but it happened.
Someone needs to seriously consider a career change.

A man who was shot by police and later died had to wait 10 extra minutes for an ambulance after an officer having a “mild anxiety attack” took the first one that arrived at the scene

Shouldn't some of this blame be placed on the paramedics? They are normally supposed to triage and determine who they should be transporting first.

Women shouldn't be cops

Is it just me or have they skyrocketed in numbers too?!?! I can’t remember the last time I saw a female cop in my town, but watching videos on YouTube from channels like Midwest safety, and others, there seems to be a shite ton of female cops now on patrol all around the country…and not ONE of them is capable of handling an adult male that isn’t willing to be arrested without a fight.

He died because he pulled a gun on police. The ambulance story just hastened the results.

Ehh, frick him. I hope the extra wait is what did him in but that doesn't seem likely.

This is a fair point. I recently joined the military and when learning about medevac situation, you’ll always evacuate a comrade with a lesser injury than an enemy with a more severe injury. An anxiety attack is hardly an injury though.

1. You are correct.

2.Not true.

Until you are put into that situation you cannot comment such. All of the training you can get cannot determine your mental stability afterwards.

white police officer

They never have any issues with including race in the description in these scenarios right from the start. Doesn’t matter if relevant or not or even if the officer is responsible for being allowed to use 1st ambulance, but they will push to make it relevant.

Shooting was ruled justified, so they are now looking for next thing they can do to make a black thug the face of all blacks.

The real issues are that too many women are being pushed into police roles they aren’t capable of handling (and cops being vilified to the point of having to take lower quality applicants) and that the paramedics should have made the call over which person needed their help first which should have been the one shot not the one having a panic attack. If the delay had any effect on his eventual death the paramedics should be looked at more than the chicken female cop.

Actual event: “Criminals running with guns suck. Females suck. Liberals fricking suck.”
