Multiple people just walk right on by. Couldn't even be bothered to hit the off button real quick for the guy slowly dying. Wtf is wrong with people?

Someone is going to prison and this guys family just hit the lottery. I used to work on and do maintenance on escalators. This should be impossible. A escalator has multiple safety devices on them. The only way this can happen is is the maintenance crew that does regular PM on it had to to have jumped the safety measures. I have seen guys do it. They will do it because the devices are very sensitive and can at times give problems and continuously shut the escalator down.

Looks like the reason he died is that his clothes got caught and tightened against his throat so he couldn't breathe, and it was ten days later in the hospital that he died.
