My mother did the same thing in 5th grade when she found out I forged a signature. One of the most embarrassing things I've ever dealt with.

I'm all for discipline but her actions and language were definitely overboard. I got spanked, paddled, etc at school and at home and when done properly I don't have a problem with it. But she definitely crossed the line. And I'm sorry, her lànguage was way overboard when not only talking to a 9 year old but also in public.

Discipline is one thing. This is going way too far. This is more of taking frustrations out on a child and making a public show of it. Uncalled for.

Same. My mother was a teacher, often in the same building I went to school in. I got doubled up.
