most white kids know not to disrespect teachers... I went to public school in shreveport... we arent even gonna begin to compare how white kids treated teachers over black kids 
It was not even remotely close. I had black kids try and fight teachers in elementary, middle and highschool. One time my science teacher had to lock himself in the closest and call the office from his cell

I don’t know how I think about this. Clearly, the mom wants the kid to respect the teachers, but damn that was overboard. My guess is the dad is not involved, which is sad. But that degree of punishment should probably be dealt with at home.

I don't agree with the severity of her actions, but I also know there would be a thread skewering the parent(s) for being shitty had there been a video of only the kid going off on the lunch lady.

Yeah, nothing about that is redeeming. It’s sad. That kid isn’t learning a dirn thing besides how to be afraid of his mother.
If the parents can’t contain their emotions and discipline kids effectively and appropriately, what makes anyone think the kids behavior is anything but reinforced?
That kid isn’t thinking about his action and behavior. He thinking about how to keep his mama happy.

I'll take this over a parent who does absolutely nothing.
I highly doubt he acts up again with the teacher.

The Mom was out of line with all of the screaming and cussing. She was disrespecting everyone there.
She was also out of line for recording it.
Nothing wrong with the few licks he got. I got way worse when I deserved one. They just needed to be delivered without all of the screaming and cussing.
Me knowing that my Mom or Dad would whip me if I crossed the line, kept me from doing a lot of dumb shite. There was no counting to 3 or any “next time” warnings.
We learned early that our actions, both good and bad, had consequences, both good or bad.
My Dad taught us that you could choose the easy way or the hard way and left it up to us to decide.
