So the calories are pretty low then?

Yes. Calories are low. I track carbs. I find it works better for me that way. This bread is also very good in taste and texture.
It’s more expensive but worth it IMO.

How bad are the H--E-B tortillas for us? I've been trying to cut down on my processed food, gave up Clif bars, only eat boiled eggs or oatmeal for breakfast , chicken or tuna for lunch, sensible dinner. But the HEB tortillas are too delicious to give up, I eat about 20/ week.
Oh, and protein powder is chock full of all the ingredients that you're supposed to stay away from. Is that a necessary evil if you're trying to keep weight on? I'm a slim fella.

Are tortillas full of this unhealthy stuff too?
I think I rather die than give up tortillas or coffee. My GF is from El Salvador and she makes her own tortillas often. Salvadorian tortillas are thicker, kinda like small pancakes.
I've given up alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs in my lifetime. I don't think I can do this with tortillas or coffee. I'm not going back to rehab for tortillas but I'm surely addicted.

Because that stuff isnt bad for you like we were made to believe back in the late 70's early 80's..
Similar to the scam that we needed to eat high fiber diets..
It was all to sell the population foods that have now made us the sickest and fattest nation on the planet

I can't tell you how many loafs I've made in my Zojirushi bread maker. I even use it to prepare the dough for jalapeno and cheddar buns or when I want to make Hawaiian buns. If I had it to do over, I would have purchased the 2lb loaf instead of the 1lb bread maker though. Pretty much every Sunday afternoon I make a loaf or two and put 3-4 chicken breast in the slow cooker. That gets me through the week with sandwiches/quesadillas while cutting down on processed foods.

I started making my own bread but still have to buy store bought bread because I screw it up as often as I make a good batch.

We eat Ezekiel bread. The orange or green bags.

Must uncured deli meats use celery extract or powder and call it uncured. Celery extract is a natural source of nitrates and does the same thing as chemical nitrates but the food manufacturers don't have to label it as "cured."
YES!!!! 'Uncured' is a SCAM. In fact, because the process is less controllable than simply adding the nitrates, they have to overcompensate to avoid spoilage, so you actually get MORE nitrates in these bogus 'uncured' products.

Yes, uncured meat can still contain nitrates and nitrites.
It's far worse than that. It isn't a matter of 'can still contain', they absolutely DO contain nitrates and nitrites, and probably in HIGHER levels than 'cured' meats.
I mentioned in another post, the 'natural' process is not as controlled as simply adding the nitrate, so they will err on the side of caution to prevent spoilage, and you likely end up with more nitrates/nitrites in 'uncured' meats. It's a SCAM!

If the bread comes out good plan to get a flour grinding attachment for my Kitchen-Aid and buying thr 5 gallon buckets of raw grains.

I made bread one night during COVID and it was absolutely delicious that night. I thought "I should make a loaf every week".
Bad Idea; the next day the rest of the loaf was a brick. I'd have to make it daily to have decent bread around.
