That is just unacceptable. You know it must be pretty shocking if they won't even release them.
Hopefully, it appears that we have some leadership who will make sure the flagship campus is brought back to its higher standards. I think the Advocate article was trying to say that the LSU system has a home for everyone. However, if you aren't a high achiever, you probably wont find a home in Baton Rouge. This is probably one reason they took over UNO. Use it as a feeder school for the BR campus.
My daughter was a freshman this past year at LSU. The amount of things that went on last year was unacceptable. (PMAC twerking, weed everywhere tailgating, two shootings during home games near law school, one idiot shooting himself near the ROTC building while tailgating, LSU football player housing people wanted for murder while also storing automatic weapons in dorm, teen takeover of highland and state street during homegame, etc)

It’ll take 4 years to process all the “holistic admissions” but I suspect that the game day camera crowd views will improve by 2030.

LSU does the same to out of state kids
The top kids in Alabama and Miss aren't going to Tuscaloosa and Oxford
Ole Miss is school where a bunch of wealthy kids from Dallas, Atlanta go because they couldn't get into UGA, SMU, or UT or kids from NOLA who just want to act like they are too good to go LSU

This upcoming 2026 fall freshman class is still Tate’s as his interim didnt change anything with a lot of offers already made before new guys started. According to at least one poster the message board/Facebook group for parents of incoming freshman would lead one to think the trend will continue to increase this fall.
The new guys needed to implement a full ACT/SAT requirement for 2027 freshman for all applicants and have these scores properly weighted to account for inflated GPAs and differences in academic rigor between schools, and they needed to have that be a major factor in rewarding scholarships, honors college admissions, and admissions in general.
They did not do this. They pushed a half arse solution that is mostly for show without requiring a minimum score or requiring it to be properly weighted in decisions. They didn’t even implement this requirement fully for all applicants until 2028’s freshman class. For 2027 most scholarships and honors admissions will still be rewarded without requiring the ACT or SAT from the applicants. Starting in 2028 scores will just be one attribute amongst many the committee can still holistically use to decide.

They need to make a minimum score requirement to get in. But at least they can't give fake ACT score statistics anymore for incoming freshmen. Every kid they decide to holistically admit will have to turn in a test score. I can't wait to see how the incoming freshmen ACT scores change from 2026 graduates, 2027 graduates, and 2028 graduates.

I have a high school senior and we were looking g at average ACT scores for several SEC schools. It was eye opening to see how much lower LSU is compared to other public schools like Florida and Georgia.

Neither of mine are at LSU. It’s not the same school from my days.
I pay out of state tuition to keep them away from that place.
