I worked at that gas station in the early 90’s while attending LSU. Worked 11pm to 7 am shift. It was a Cracker Barrel back then. While training I asked the manager why last guy quit. She said he got tired of getting robbed. We used to give BR cops free drinks and food so a bunch of them hung around. One particular cop felt bad for me and hung around a lot. I always thought he saved me from getting robbed. I quit after one semester without any incidents. Worst night was Sunday night though. Bars in West Baton Rouge stayed open till 2am on Sunday. Lots of traffic and drunk customers showed up about 2 to 4 am Monday morning.
