And her reply:

She could be a little white girl from River Ridge and it’d be the same until the hype dies down in a few days.

Why not?
She will be a star no matter what she does? So if something happens along the way and at 30 years old she is slinging sandwiches at Subway she will still be a star?
Statements like that are just as asinine as calling all nurses last year heroes is all I was getting at.

She is not going to Lsu

Good for her, but IMO LSU looks like it's trying to hitch its wagon to her success and amazing talents. Doesn't strike me as genuine on LSU's part.
Besides, she WAY too smart for LSU. I have no doubt she and her parents have set a much higher bar for her.

Yeah good point

If that happens she will likely be the best sandwich artist in the store.
There is no need to break down a 14 yo when she clearly has lots of talent, drive, and great work ethic. The world doesn't always work out as we expect but being a wet blanket about a very accomplished child just reeks from multiple stenches.

Hopefully she'll do the right thing and tell LSU to frick off

Seriously? You do realize I am not harping on her in particular but rather the statement made? It's a bit silly IMO.

She’s already smarter than most LSU grads. See this board but can she throw the chain

I honestly thing she will do much better in her education than going to LSU

She's accomplished more than 99% of the kids at her age
I've got news for you, she's accomplished more at 14 than most Americans of any age will accomplish in their lives. If this kid ends up at LSU or a HBCU, something is very wrong. This appears to be a very sharp young lady.
If she is proficient at Math as she is in Spelling (and basketball dribbling) she needs to be thinking MIT or CalTech. I wish her the best and hope she has many more successes in the future.

Smart and talented. She will be able to write her own checks.

Jesus y'all are some bitter fricks. Can't we just be happy for a home state girl who won the spelling bee?
It really makes you wonder how these people get through life.
Funny thing is they will only say this shite on here and won't say it irl.

Cool...my son who graduated at the top of his class in 2020 with a 32 on his ACT barely got any offers of financial assistance from the Flagship outside of TOPS, so he went elsewhere. ?
This. My Son was the same, and a National Merit Scholar, and LSU offered VERY little outside of TOPS. He was courted by numerous out of State schools and is on a full ride to RICE. Louisiana lets its best and brightest get away and stay away... They should be ashamed.

She’s follows all the Ivy League schools on her social media, no LSU. Good chance she attends one of those schools
Thought I saw an interview mentioning Harvard as her top school
