sounds like a cost saving measure as well
you don't need directors for all those areas
it should all be under one umbrella

I guess when you're paying out $50,000,000.00+ in NIL you gotta make some tough cuts where ever you can

Lockley said the AACC was already available to all students. She said the concern is whether Black students will continue to have a space focused on their culture and experiences.

“The AACC has always been available for all students,” Lockley said.

What a dumbass. She's arguing to preserve the space that's "always been available for all students" while simultaneously saying that black folks need a segregated space (which the current space would obviously not be since it's open to all).

I'm sure she has very strong opinions on how other people's money should be spent

The big problem here is that no one is going to sit Ms Lockley down and explain to her how fricked up she is. So she will move on feeling aggrieved.

People are so damn scared of being called the R Word that they don’t speak out against this kind of rhetoric.

if they all went to Southern, they wouldn't need their "own" space.

I'm not gonna comment on any of this crap.. I just know I was happy as shite when I could start sitting in the balcony at The Wilbey Theater in Selma to watch Hercules Saturday matinees in Selma. That balcony front row rocks out with its cock out when you're 8!

Your racist perspective on preferential treatment is moot.

So they want to be segregated.

White folks did this before the civil rights movement, and it was bad.

Black folks want to do it now and its A-Ok..... I don't get it.

What white students, besides some skank hunting BBC, is interested in hanging out at the African American Cultural Center?

None, which she makes clear in the rest of her statement.
