They need to just blow it all up, it's apparent the STG experiment has failed.

Maybe Broome will be compassionate and allow them back into the metropolis.

Edwards has control over LSP. Are they pulling out of SG?

Fill me in on why LSP is responding to a traffic incident and not local police in the form of the Sheriff's department (assuming STG does not have local police yet). I live in Laffy so I am unfamiliar with the post election situation.

My guess is its a state highway thus LSP patrols it/is responsible for it. Fairly certain that's the case in nola and Metairie as well.

Yes. State and federal roads fall under LSP jurisdiction. Amazing people do not know this.

Well LSP doesn’t typically work crashes in incorporated areas. Ie. Kenner, Nola, Br etc.

They’re probably only doing it until st George gets up and running.

You can’t expect everything to be running 100%.

LSP response time in STG? They don't get there ASAP unless you're a VIP, otherwise you're better off DIY.

Good Morning, Vietnam

State highways all over the city and parish of Lafayette that city police and sheriff’s department handle accidents on. Amazing people think this can only be handled by LSP.

I also see sheriff’s giving out speeding tickets on I-10 between Baton Rouge and Lafayette. Also was a pretty famous sped trap along I-49 that was the same way.

These areas are what is know as multi jurisdictional

EBR has never issued me a ticket on airline, and I ride 30-40 over every morning

But they could. Verot School Road in Lafayette is LA Highway 339 which also runs through Vermillion parish. City police in Lafayette can and do write speeding tickets in the city. They also work accidents in the city limits. The sheriff’s department works them in the parish but they do not write a lot of speeding tickets unless people are just hauling it.

FYI. St George doesn’t plan on having a police department at all outside of one person to act as a liaison between St. George, BRPD, EBR Sheriff’s Office, etc.

City of BR isn't any better. I got into a wreck in NBR and it took just as long. The police officer didn't appear to even care or want to be there working.

I don't think wrecks are a high priority anymore. They just write a report and let insurance work it out.
