Lowe's

Tractor Supply
True Value
Ace

Home Depot.

in Houston, Home Depot is littered with Mexican contractors looking for work. I can't stand that issh.
And my Lowe's and Home Depot are in the same parking lot. Still never go to HD unless I can't get something at Lowes.

He was the cofounder and stepped down as chairman of the board 20 years ago. He’s worth $4B. He’s not worried if you and Redneck buy your light bulbs at Lowe’s instead of Home Depot.

HD is a public company. No one “owns” Home Depot

Lowe's. Love the fact that they give veterans 10% off every purchase.

Lowe's bc you can tie in a 10% veterans discount to your MyLowes account and get 10% off everything all day everyday. Plus they keep sending me gift cards. I've gotten $50 in free gift cards in the last 2 months.

Get 10% off at Home Depot as well if you flash CAC, retired or VA card.

I do have mine linked to Lowe's though as well.

Did you set up a MyLowes account with your veterans discount? Back in the day you had to show your ID and wait for a manager to come approve the discount. Now you can get a card and key fob thing. They just scan that and you're good to go.

Both piss me off. You enter the store 1/2mile from where you exit - so it doesn’t matter where you park (WTF is there handicapped parking). Any employee you find in any section when you need help isn’t in “their section” and they say they’ll find someone for you and never come back. Every Saturday morning, they have 2 of the 16 checkout stands open and a line 5 deep. I’ve been going to ACE.

Edit - get off my lawn!

It was always hit or miss when I did it. I only used the 10% on higher dollar purchases. Sometimes they'd give me the 10% and sometimes not. I think the DS location always did but some of the BR locations wouldn't do it.

With the way Lowes has it set up now you don't have to deal with any of the managers. Just scan your card and that's it.

Lowe's is normally less busy and cleaner. So I go there.

Home Depot is right next door so it's not a big deal to go there either.

Generally, go to Stines because it's closer with less traffic. Otherwise, it's Lowes.

It was a joke but I get your point.

I go to Marchand's in Gonzales first and the big boxes second. I prefer Lowes because the people seem to be a cut above in terms of helping. The Depot is a last resort.
