Don’t forget about changing classes. 100s of kids in those hallways all at once.

And even if you stagger release times, how will that work in high school where not all kids are going to the same classes? Will you have kids standing out in the hallway in large groups waiting for a class to dismiss so they can enter?

I'm 100% convinced some of the people making these decisions haven't physically been in a school outside of an audit situation in decades.

That actually isn’t that cumbersome,

“I can’t hear you” and “I didn’t understand the instructions “ are going to be a common refrain to excuse everything from homework to discipline. Needless to say, I disagree with your opinion.

The forced mask wearing is bullshite.

Any grade level with PE is going to SUCK. Unless they want to restrict activities to inside only. It's going to be hot as balls for 70%+ of the school year.

It all comes down to math. The square footage, of a classroom, under current distancing, supports 9 students and a teacher. The math does not work, therefore the plan is destined to fail.

Secondly, the kids can come and go, however, the teachers will constantly be quarantined. They are a limited commodity. Once again the math does not work.

I agree. Those masks are hot as frick and how are you going to get a kindergartner to properly wear a mask 100% of the day?

Masks begin at 3rd grade in this plan

The politicians certainly haven’t. Most people at the school board level haven’t taught a class in over 20 years.

3rd graders are not going to properly wear and handle masks. This is just for show and will make the kids miserable.

Students and staff will be monitored for symptoms each day, including upon entry.

Depending on the schools and their size, this seems like it would take a pretty good chunk of the morning to screen everyone walking into a school

Students in grades 3-12 will be required to wear masks if they don't have breathing issues. Staff will be required to wear masks.

That’s not going to fly, that’s a security issue. Can’t enforce it either.

Pure misery. Also, where and when do you screen them? Why even let them on the bus before screening them?

I really wish the private schools could just ignore this BS.

Unfortunately, they have licenses/inspections as well, so big daddy can come in and shut them down like any other business.

Things like tucking in your shirt are pointless and the school has no grounds for making kids do those things and they know it. I imagine it'll be different when you have the backing of a pandemic.

wasn’t there a study that said the viral load in kids was so low that they were not good vectors for transmission?

Private schools have to adhere to these guidelines too, right?

I can't see how masks for elementary schoolers will work in actual practice. Same for social distancing. It will be pure misery for them.

Private schools will take a huge hit if they are forced back to remote learning.
