Supply is much greater than demand right now in south Louisiana.

JBE is loving people refusing to vaccinate. Gets him plenty of fodder to stay in phase three until 2022. But the baws here will have gotten him by refusing the vaccine they praised Trump for pushing through three months ago.

So, Louisiana is opening it up to pretty much everyone. If they have the doses, I agree completely with this decision.

They don't have the doses today... but they are getting more and more each week, and it's time to start kicking mass vax into high gear. All the more vulnerable that want it, have gotten it.

I love threads where the OT realizes how fat they are

my inlaws got vaccinated when they dropped it to 55+ with underlying conditions and they were chuckling because they thought they beat the system by "lying" about them being overweight

they are both quite overweight, probably obese, but they don't see themselves that way because they are like the OT who thinks they are not overweight because they are not 100 lbs overweight

Attention Catholics (and anyone with a conscience): Statement regarding the Janssen (John & Johnson) COVID-19 vaccine

"We maintain that the decision to receive the COVID-19 vaccine remains one of individual conscience in consultation with one’s healthcare provider. We also maintain that in no way does the Church’s position diminish the wrongdoing of those who decided to use cell lines from abortions to make vaccines. In doing so, we advise that if the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine is available, Catholics should choose to receive either of those vaccines rather than to receive the new Johnson & Johnson vaccine because of its extensive use of abortion-derived cell lines."

Yes. Every day, twice per day, for the rest of your life.

This is my BIL's MIL exactly. She was like "I was able to claim I was obese based on BMI." I was just like bruh, you are obese

Technically I'm obese. Right on the line for my height. I do have a broad frame and muscular lower body, but I could and am in the process of dropping 25ish lbs and would not be close to resembling a skeleton.

Won't ever be back at my high school weight of 155, but I had pretty much no upper body muscle mass back then. I looked scrawny back then fwiw. 175-180 should be just right.

Also getting a chuckle out of the folks on social media mad that they “don’t qualify” because they don’t smoke and don’t have one of the underlying conditions.

I am thinking “did you lose 50 pounds since your last profile pic?”

Ochsner and LCMC were literally giving them to anyone who signed up this weekend, because they had so many. Just open it to everyone.

I think that's happening more than people think. Someone shared a post on FB from another town this morning in which the location was asking for folks to come because they had 400 doses, but only 100 people signed up. They don't want to throw away any of it.

Was gonna say the exact same thing, especially in this state, but I figured more than one person already said this.
