Can someone who believes masks and distancing don't help for coronavirus explain why ordinary seasonal flu numbers basically dropped to zero this year?

So if masks and distancing killed the flu, why didn't it kill COVID? You can't say that people weren't wearing masks and distancing, because the data for the flu clearly shows that they were (if masks a SD was the cause of zero flu)

Supply is much greater than demand right now in south Louisiana.

Fact. At least 4 people in my family signed up for vaccinations in the last couple of weeks. They were put on the schedule (maybe a week out), and all were called in early (24-48 hours after being scheduled) to get shots because they were suddenly available.

A lot of people... ahem... who JBE and his crew want vaccinated are not doing it, pushing available shots to others.

Ole Smacker also mentioned “we are no longer improving and every time that has happened we have gone up in numbers again” so be prepared for another lockdown.

Right, if anything the flu rates show that masks and social distancing work for the flu, but don't work for COVID

Or it shows that Covid is more contagous than the flu.

Ole Smacker also

They said we can have small gatherings at the house now and those that have had the vaccine don't have to wear a mask.
Praise Jesus. Thank you for letting us know how we can act in our own houses JBE.

Right, and due to that masks aren't effective for it

Or, we'd be worse off without masks.

Likely means masks are just not 100% effective. Possibly very effective for flu and only partially effective for Covid.
