I spent my life avoiding the pics if Tutt's tomb out of fear the curse was real, and you posted a new Egyptian baw's tomb and a new round of curses without so much as a NSFW warning. I felt personally attacked.

That's all bullshite, but I still hold you and Honkus responsible for 2020.

wow we might not get out of the 20s today in BR, it's almost 11 and it's still in the low 20s outside

In the area between Central and BR.

Right now (just after noon) it's still 24 degrees, the sun hasn't burned through the clouds.

I do see a lot of melting going on, but it's refreezing

AEX has warmed up from a low of 11 just before sunrise to 22 degrees currently (with no wind thankfully)

with bright sunshine, no clouds in the sky, and no wind to speak of... it's damn near bearable outside

I just went and yanked the melting ice off of my windshield and took a trip to the mailbox for the 1st time in 3 days (damn electric bill was in there... gave me a bleak look into the future for next month's bill)

that all said... snow blindness is a thing... my eyes were already starting to hurt from that little jaunt outside

My heater is cycling. I’m keeping it on 67-68 and burning fire. My point is just it seems gas is much more efficient and cheaper. My heater running constantly is running up my electric bill. I wish I had the option for natural gas, especially on heat and my appliances. Not having that option in 2021 seems ridiculous.

But stay warm Peej.

NO Sewerage & Water Board sent out a text this morning telling people they could turn off their dripping faucets at 9:30am. The idiots at Nola.com published an article repeating this obviously wrong statement. Meanwhile, 3-1/2 hours later, it's still 28 degrees. I hope nobody was dumb enough to listen to them.

If you are in your home, still have power, and you're doing every day things like making coffee, cooking, washing your hands, flushing toilets, etc. you don't really need to drip your faucets during the day. At night you need to, but that is because the water is not moving.

Pipes seem good here in Slidell, I’ve been in a raised house for about 5 years (new construction). Anyone have any idea why I saw some brown water this morning? Almost like dirty , from looking online it looks like maybe it’s sediment. I have well water as well. Is that a cause for concern?
