And predictably, CNN just said Louisiana showing cases going up.

They are freaking evil and so many people in this world are too stupid to analyze data.

Hell I am finding many educated people being totally deceived by “increased number of cases.”

JBE will push back phase 1 to phase 2 another 21 days or go back to stay at home phase.

The way the state reports cases is statistical manipulation at it’s finest.

The thought of our state government using a data driven system for contact tracing is so laughable it isn't even funny.

I wish they would break it down by city. My boss went full Karen mode this morning talking about it because he's high risk. But if you look at the tracts, it would appear over 60% of the JP & NOLA cases are on the WB. Yet, people can only talk about totals, they don't want to hear that it's not as drastic in Metairie/Kenner area as it is on the WB.

I’m still wondering why the frick can’t we back date cases to the day they were tested?

They are either incompetent or disingenuous, and quite frankly I don’t know which is worse.

Caddo

I noticed quite a few cases on the LDH report for skilled facilities Monday for Caddo. They’ve got some hard hit places.

LDH announces 1188 newly reported cases on 5/21/20. Of those cases, 682 (62%) are from labs that are reporting for the first time, with cases stretching as far back as 3/25/20.

My status call with LDH this morning was all of five minutes, mostly consisting of her telling me how busy she was. I can guarantee they’re pretty much taking facilities’ word on things. A bit frightening.

They're manipulating this data so bad

No they aren't. The numbers reported today aren't bad either. To compare a 19k test results percentage, add a couple of days' numbers until you get around 19k tests, and then add the positives for those days.

The numbers for today do not show a change in the same downward trend we've had for a month. All they reflect is alot of test reporting in a single day.

And that would be a statement which is not based upon any proper examination of the data.

Add May 13 and 14 together. Those two days had about 19k tests reported. The number of positive test results in those two days was significantly more than today's numbers.

Not really. All TV news channels spin news all day. I don't watch TV news channels.

Take this with a grain of salt, but based on a call I had today, we’re to receive positive results as returned and the remaining negatives once all testing for my facility is completed. I have a feeling this may be the norm when mass testing which could help explain the influx of negative tests.
