Why is there such a huge discrepancy in number of tests performed each day?
Because it isn't the number of tests performed in the last 24 hours...it's the number of tests reported in the last 24 hours.

WOW! All those new ventilators can't get here soon enough!

I hope that the numbers are filed with the appropriate date somewhere.

Zero reason to not be fully open right now.
Just how retarded are you? Going full open will cause a bad spike and put us right back to full shut down. The idiocy on this board never ceases to amaze me. Phased opening is the way to go.

People will restrict themselves. If you look at Sweden, people were not restricted from restaurants or movie theaters. But, they largely didn't go. This is a free country.

You mean like St. Patrick's day in New Orleans?

Interesting article has BR as a place to watch. Good thing this came out after JBE announced Phase 1 reopening.

I agree, but 25% capacity including the workers is sad. It should be no less than 50% without counting workers.....
The Gov. has problems right now with memorial weekend coming up...... people are gonna say screw this... I’m going to party....

Its amazing they cant wait a couple more days to get their hair and nails done.
Just look at the numbers for TX the last week of lockdown was a complete joke and now since phased opening on May 1st it has the highest number of cases 3 days in a row. People were too busy worried about protesting.
People could still go to lowes, walmart, and basically anywhere else they wanted this entire time except bar or restaurants or nail salon.
When this fall is worse with hospitalizations and football is cancelled people may finally realize but it'll be too late. Luckily the warm temps are keeping the severity down.

I think this is why he did 21 days, he won't be bullied into reopening for Memorial Day. Plus, with it being June 5th, even if we meet all the made up criteria to go into Phase 2, we'll be in Phase 2 for at least 1 month to get us through 4th of July weekend.

St. Patrick's Day feels like a lifetime ago. People are far more educated on this now.

Louisiana should administer giant hamster balls to those who desire to not rejoin the real world while the rest of you go on about your lives

The severity of the disease is irrelevant. Under no circumstances should the government restrict citizens to this level. We should be free to assess our own risk and go about our normal business. At no point are people being forced out of their homes. If you want to stay home, stay home. If you want to go out, go out. It is really that simple.

It has nothing to do with being bullied. You want money spent????? That would be a perfect weekend to let things loose a little more than he is doing. Adults are not children. We as adults WILL do what we feel is right for each other.... we are gonna see spikes anyway but 68 year old grandpa with health conditions is not going boating or to the beach.....

I’m smart enough to know that if you take the nursing home & jail #’s out it’s not nearly as bad as some want to think
There’s a reason why certain #’s are being hidden & some are being broadcast
