Not sure where you're getting that from. The goal all along, and it's a legitimate goal, is to prevent hospitals from being overwhelmed. Hospitals and vent availability are fine now. The phased openings are designed to stay ahead of the virus. Even if no vaccine is ever available, we'll eventually develop herd immunity. Trump's Guidelines for Opening Up America are good, and need to be followed. They also allow for a full opening of the economy, but in a phased/staggered approach. You people who want a full open now would do much more harm to the economy that Trump's approach.

I was most definitely being sarcastic, because I have seen people and taking heads argue to remaining shut down until 2/3 of those things happen.

They never were in danger of being overwhelmed. In fact a lot of hospital workers have been laid off.

I see your point. I think where people disagree is how fast that phasing should happen.
On 3-29 the task force said unanimously that we were 2 weeks from peak. Well now it's been over 6 weeks and people are getting frustrated (in some parts of the country) that we aren't further along in the phased reopening than we are.
