His math is just wrong, he said the positives and test numbers then said that was 10.33% positivity.

It’s literally not.

1100ish divided by 17k-ish isn’t fricking over 10 percent.

This idiot just said that we could have over 2000 people in hospitals, but for the fricking mask mandate and bar closures.

Someone should ask him what that 2000 hospital projecting was based upon.

How the frick does he know how many people would be in the hospital without his mask mandate & bar closure?

Twitter:
Our statewide positive rate for tests decreased from 12.5 percent on August 1 to 10.33 percent today. This is good news, we are making progress. @LouisianaGov says this can only be permanent if Louisianans follow the mitigation measures.

"I want to caution everybody that we still have an overburdened hospitals right now. Several have zero ICU beds available." @LouisianaGov

.@LouisianaGov warns that hospitals are still strained though....bed capacity is still tight. Some of this is because medical staff is contracting #COVID19.

Edwards says the state would have "well over 2,000" covid patients in hospitals today if he didn't put in the mask mandate/bar closure. That's based on the trajectory the state was on before the new mandates. #lalege #lagov

latest racial disparity data in Louisiana: 49% of covid deaths are from Black residents, 49% from white. The state's population is 63% white, 33% Black. #lalege #lagov

Dr. Gary M. Wiltz is the Chief Executive Officer of Teche Action Clinics, a network of thirteen Federally Qualified Community Health Centers located in six parishes in southwest Louisiana, with the main site in Franklin.

Thats also a downright lie

10.33% represents August 7th, the last day the LDH has updated

He should be required to state exactly which hospitals these are and how many ICU beds they have.

The information on beds and ICU bed on the LDH website do not support with this governor is saying. And did I hear that Dr. correctly say that masks are helping? He’s full of it as well.

Is that because there are less African Americans in nursing homes?
I thought that was common?
