Yes it does ... click on "invasive ventilators" and slide your mouse to see each individual date and an estimate.

Don’t deaths lag behind as well.

Hopefully EBR is incorrect at 621 after 389 yesterday

up until today or yesterday, the people dying were likely infected before we even shut schools down
at this moment, we are still simply in the "social distancing" phase when it comes to deaths
we won't see the affects of the stay at home order until late next week

Unless it was a backlog of tests for EBR?
Posted on 4/4/20 at 12:15 pm to bnmathm
Keep in mind they said there was a heavy backlog in testing results. So the positives aren't necessarily reflecting a real-time increasing spread, just catching up with what was already out there. Similarly, lessening hospitalizations and deaths can be attributed to social distancing/sanitation measures; i.e., while you have a lot of people testing positive, they are avoiding contact with other people.

The only frigin numbers that matter for tracking are hospitalizations and ventilators (since testing is so laggy).
Either we had no new hospitalizations and vents since yesterday, which would be huge news, or LDH is not tracking the most important data.
WTF is going on?

Many states do not require private labs to report negative test results for infectious diseases and this includes coronavirus testing.
Does anyone know what LA is requiring? This would likely be the cause of so many tests % wise coming back as positive.

Orleans and Jefferson totally with the highest numbers of deaths ... how many I wonder are related to long term care facilities and not the general population?

I feel like I'm following a football game on the radio were the announcers are only talking about punting stats from two quarters ago.

LDH fb page just replied that the hospitalizations hadn't been updated yet. NO shite. I asked if that and vents will be .. waiting on an answer.

That's a question many of us have; yet, they announced this week that they will no longer be posting information about the LTC facilities with cases.

Glass half full outlook...#s went down as people are recovering and they are not confident in the reporting so they are double checking?

I think they'll still update numbers on Monday/Wednesday but not name facilities anymore.
Posted on 4/4/20 at 12:24 pm to baldona
Deaths on 4/3 were 370. Yes.
