I mean you do you. But they typically don’t frick around with fines when it comes to violating a burn ban. So enjoy that I guess.

There was a big fire that took out about 10 camps in the Pirate Cove area of Toledo Bend just a couple of days ago. We're going to the camp on Lanan (in Toledo Bend) this coming wknd and had planned on smoking a brisket in my WSM

I’d be impressed if you started a forest fire with your WSM. Mines runs safely @225-240 for a brisket.

I swear, if JBE told you the sky is blue, you'd put on red tented glasses and call it a Democrat conspiracy.

You have a point, the Tiger Island fire currently active is a fresh reminder to be very careful if you do choose to BBQ in 105 degree heat with gusty winds of 8-13 MPH.

A WSM is so contained, it’s about as harmless as a pilot light on a gas water heater.

Any law officer that would cite a man while standing over a smoked brisket, isn’t worthy of wearing the badge.

Totally agree. That's why I said "some freak accident". I evaluate and eliminate risk for a living. I guess that side of me made the decision easier...lol. It's only a big deal if you make it one.

People gonna be big mad in a couple weeks when we still haven’t had any rain and cooking will be banned at LSU tailgating.

How many wildfires have began from grilling on an enclosed pit while cooking over concrete with no wind? Think for a sec.

Sheep will continue to be sheep.

I drove through a burned out area near Grand Lake, CO. The absolute hellish level of destruction should be enough to convince anyone that caution is warranted in a drought, but we have too many people who think with their party registration instead of being logical.

For the record, no, I'm not a Democrat.

Shoulda bought a Traeger, baw. I hear they come with their own fire suppression complete with sprinklers, hoses, and retardant. Works best if you use the Traeger brand retardant foam, though.

Yikes

As am I, but it has nothing to do with me grilling a steak.

It’s a wholly valid point lol

Some of y’all need to just relax with the whole “GubMeNt CaiNt tELlME wuT to dO BaW!!”

I won’t be wearing a mask when the new mandates inevitably start rolling out. And I used the smoker yesterday and will be grilling tonight.

But some of y’all just turn completely ignorant in your efforts to show how anti government you are lol

I'm sorry you're poor. I bought the Traeger brand smoke/fire detectors for my yard. Next tax season I am buying the Traeger brand fire extinguishers.
