If tweet fails to load, click here. Sounds terrible. Think about how hard this may be on the residents who now have to decide how to spend the extra money they get to keep.
Better to just rely on China than have to deal with that.

That’s horrible. I feel for them.

Louisiana politicians will absorb that potential tax cut for it’s residents.

Loudoun Water implemented consecutive 7% year-over-year rate increases starting in January 2025 and continuing into 2026, with more adjustments planned through 2027.

I'm all for punishing the shite out of every Loudon county resident, those federal government leeches that are hard blue. They'll not cut taxes to fund more DEI and restorative justice bullshite, knowing them.

So 30% of county tax?

Did the state and local politicians sign NDA’s regarding the deals made with the Dara centers?

30% over the past decade...thats less than inflation.

In perpetuity? A sucker born every minute.

This.
Although Loudon is probably the more conservative part of NOVA. The whole area is awash in overpaid government (and government contractor) pawns.

so will Loudoun county’s. Not saying it is, but if this is the first youve heard of Loudoun county I encourage you to read up on their political ongoings the last 5-6 years

That only works if you have politicians that work for the people and not their own interests. So Louisianastan shouldn’t get their hopes up.

Louisiana would go up to somehow fund data centers.

Not all municipalities are the same. Some have much better leadership and their residents are going to come out way ahead in Louisiana…. Those that didn’t have the proper infrastructure are giving away to much.

Lived in Ashburn. Almost all revenue in the the area starts from Data Centers, but it is very high. Unless things have changed it is still the most wealthy county in the US. Google center of the internet and it still might say Northern VA. Data centers are moving out of there, Well?
