LOS ANGELES— Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said Wednesday that he tasked the city to “identify $250 million in cuts” to invest more money into the black community, communities of color, women and “people who have been left behind."
The Los Angeles Times reported that the city will try and cut between $100 million to $150 million from its police budget alone. Garcetti said it is incumbent on the city to “step up and say, ‘What can we sacrifice?’” The mayor said that the city will not increase its police budget of $1.8 billion. Deadline reported that Garcetti said that he will offer more specifics at a later press conference but said the money will be distributed “now, not years from now.”

It’s time to move our rhetoric towards action to end racism in our city,” he said, according to Deadline. “Prejudice can never be part of police work…It takes bravery to save lives, too.”

Melina Abdullah, the co-founder of Black Lives Matter Los Angeles, told a reporter at the paper that the city needs to go further with pulling money from police and "need to know that we’re fighting for truly transformative change here and won’t be bought off with just this minimal amount of money.”

They can start by getting rid of all that military equipment that they will obviously never use if they didn’t use them this past week

Already, not enough. It will never be enough.

All the rich limousine liberals will just pay private security firms to protect their neighborhoods like they were Fort Knox and keep the unwashed asses away from them

And then the crime wave happened. If I were the plice, I'd just never go into certain neighborhoods, for any reason. Shooting? Murders? Sorry. "Don't want to offend black people with my presence."
Yep, typical "black leader."

I really hope they cave to the demands of these people

The day this happens, mark it on your calendar, because that will be the beginning of the end for Los Angeles.

They've already surpassed that point

And the flock of Californians to Texas continues

When the economy takes a turn down and the crime starts going back up to levels they haven’t seen in 20 years these dumbasses will be on social media demanding that the law officers need to be out doing more.
