Get the f*** out of here with this nonsense. Especially if you live in Louisiana. A state I grew up in and love, but enough bashing of other places. This board is so derivative and tired on the subject. Shocker ... a mega city has some areas that aren't as desirable as others. LA is a good place to live

Please stop spending time responding to me and go pick up needles off your local corners.
K, thanks.

I thought it was San Francisco
This is only for people who go to San Francisco and stay in the Tenderloin for their entire trip.
San Francisco is an awesome city if you're not a pussy and if you don't stay in the highly segregated crime areas.

We were denied by a driver today because I wasn't wearing a mask and didn't want to put one on.
I have never worn the mask and laugh at people that do, but if it was made known beforehand (in the app or whatever) that this driver had this rule, then you wasted his time and are the problem in the situation.

Lived there for a decade and go there monthly. It's a horrible place to visit. People who go there for a few days or a week really don't experience the good things about LA. You have to live there to get it and it might be the best place to live in the US. It's a choose your adventure style place. You can live in the hills or near the beaches. You can live in suburbs or downtown. You can live in canyons where you think you're the only person for 100 miles. It has the best food in the country. Perfect weather. Beautiful women. Amazing economy. Cons: traffic and politics. You eventually make your peace with both because the pros are much better.
TLDR. LA is terrible to visit, great to live there. SF is great to visit, horrible to live there.

I don’t doubt it, I just do not want that state or the inhabitants to benefit from your money haha.
They don’t deserve it.

Says the guy who can't possibly know what color a US passport is.
Black, if you've got the right connections.
Had that for one specific trip only though. Then had to go back to my plain maroon one.

Apparently you've never been to Odessa, TX.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s a shithole.
You can go north to Frisco or south to dago oor even east to 29 stumps and find better areas with better peoples. Am I prejudiced ? I don’t believe so.
I’ve spent time in every area of this country-New England, Southeast, Midwest, TX, Frisco, Oklahoma, Wash.]_Oregon,…there is nowhere with a bigger collection of entitled assholesthan L.A.The city itself is unpleasantly designed, and strongly encourages overdevelopment of inner city burbs to generate tax collections which never go towards traffic movement. Not everyone there is an asswipe but the majority is so entitled and unpleasant that they couldn’t survive anywhere else. Just my humble opinion. It is not like anywhere in America.
Feel free to disagree.

Is this the bi-weekly thread where a bunch of people from Louisiana spout about how godawful Los Angeles is?
LA sucks thread is once a month, the Atlanta sucks thread is now bi-weekly. Try to keep up.

IE may be less food diverse than LA basin. I’m IE has some of everything, but probably not the number of options within, say Korean, or Armenian.
What did you find lacking compared to other areas?

When I flew into L.A. for the UCLA game, you should have seen the freaks waiting at baggage claim. One dude was wearing a full Mask like the Scream villain or Kylo Ren. I stepped into another world.

Who downvotes this? Seriously, who the frick downvotes this.
Gavin Newsom and liberal marxist ideology has ruined the state of California and he wants to run for President.
People should be in lock step observing what California has become.
Look at the massive mismanagement and corruption that led to the wildfires.
And 7 people downvote that post.
There should be zero tolerance for the liberal mindset that absolutely hates America.
Turn off Fox News for a second or two grandpa

Are you serious? Just on a drive across BR any day you can see multiple people driving in their car alone with a mask on, let alone go into a business. CVS seems to be the worst IMO, but I kind of understand that with it being a pharmacy and all, you never know.

Nowhere in the country compares to So Cal in terms of weather and scenery.
It was 97 in LA when I was there a couple of years ago. I could feel the heat but it was so much more bearable than south Louisiana. Don't get me started on San Diego, it didn't get above 75 there, and it was the same week.
