I feel like these posts always turn into a Northla vs. Southla thing. I don’t hate Southla. In have lived in Lafayette and BR and enjoyed both. I think Laffy probably ends up having a bucees near it in the future as well. I’m actually hoping a bucees attracts some of the good from Southla to consider the Ruston area for business.

Ruston only has about 23,000. A lot of that is college students not here in the summer. I would be ok probably to 35,000 or so.

Why does this make you so emotional?

And look no further than Terrell, Tx to see why getting a Bucees is a big deal. When they built it there was nothing there. Now it's spawned a whole new part of town around it with multiple shops, hotels, theater, restaurants, apartments, etc.

Dudes doing work. Brookshires bought some land north of I-20. I’m curious to see if they are just building a regular grocery store or a Fresh by Brookshires. Longview is getting a Fresh so finger crossed.

They’re building a 2nd location for Super One. I know the guy that will be the store director there. Fun fact, the current Ruston Super One is the busiest location in the company

You suck at life. You're terrible at it.

"The mean man isn't excited about our new gas station."

By the way, nice of you to pick a screen name in honor of the 300 lb. tub of goo sitting on the couch beside you.

Where in East TN or SW VA do you live? People who travel do not want to go into a grocery store to buy snacks or use the restroom. And those Food City builds are usually further in city’s not off 81 or 40 so not really the same business model.

Let North LA have its own identity.

It’s not Cajun and doesn’t try to be. That’s why it gets hate. NLA is culturally similar to Mississippi. It’s just Southern.

This gives NLA a significant beef jerky advantage for the civil war.
