Are you studying The Lives of the Saints?

I have one, but did it in person. Not against online education but a M.Div should include the in person discipleship from profs. That’s part of the educational experience.
Thank you! Certainly a concern of mine. How would you describe the discipleship you received in person from your professors? I'm connected with a strong church and run with people who walk in a deep relationship with Christ. I wouldn't be pursuing a divinity degree if I wasn't already receiving strong discipleship in my own life. Is this a good substitute? Or is their an aspect of it that you can only receive from your profs?
How do you feel about your degree in general? Worth it? Any regrets? Do you work in the ministry now?

I can write you one in crayon on the back of a coffee stained napkin.
It’ll be worth about as much

My experience is that most of these types never quote much outside of the Old Testament. They seem to not understand Christianity and the New Covenant.

I really appreciated the mentoring for maturation reasons. Having the expert onsite is certainly beneficial if the prof is both intellectual and pastoral. But it’s also being onsite with fellow students who are going through the same experience which provides the community of learning you’re looking for. Sometimes the supplement experience can only expose your isolated experience.
Degree is certainly worth it, both intellectually but personally. Didn’t go to go into the ministry but it has helped me understand people more and pursue grad school beyond. I’m retired now having done a PhD then ran a grad research center at Cambridge.

I don't understand why someone would want that programming/credentialism when you can find so much elsewhere. Modern Christianity is so sterilized it isn't even worth studying.
Why don't you go learn about the Hermetics or Vedics? Or go to the fringe of Christianity with the mystery schools, etc.?

I don’t even believe in believers...I def cannot help.

Liberty University alum (undrergraduate - thirty years ago)
If you are a Bible believer you will enjoy what Liberty has to offer. I think you are (possibly) overthinking the non versus interdenominational aspect. You will see a wide variety of views in your classes.

Liberty is definitely New Covenant.

An Mdiv would be a degree only a Christian would be interested in. Sounds like you're coming from a non-believing viewpoint.

Well I said Christianity has been sterilized. I feel there are better pursuits so I was wondering what is the worth. We only have so much time and there is so much stuff.. Like why the Muslims made the Picatrix. Or why not Rosicrucianism? What truth about divinity does Liberty University have that isn't easily found elsewhere?

There is no new covenant
The passage from Jeremiah this idea is based on literally says a “renewed” covenant
As far as redemptive history goes, It’s all the same covenant

Look into the Moody Bible Institute out of Chicago. It may be what you are looking for.
